Head of Product Development

MAAS EDTECH is a startup with a vision: to become the online platform for students, attracting over 1 million organic users. We're building a platform by offering educational resources, including:

• Providing access to a vast collection of essay samples, these samples, personal statements samples, and other essential learning materials from high school to higher education.
• Offering personalized tutoring, academic writing, editing, and so on.
• Providing features designed to assist students in learning, catering to the diverse needs of our user base.

The Role:

As Head of Product Development, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction and execution of all product development activities. You will play a key role in shaping the future of MAAS EDTECH by building and leading a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, user-centric products.

Responsibilities:

• Define and champion the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with the company's overall goals and market opportunities.
• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of an agile product development process, fostering a collaborative and iterative work environment.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of designers, engineers, and researchers.
• Prioritize user research and feedback throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring that all product decisions are driven by user needs and business goals.
• Define and launch MVPs effectively, iterating based on user feedback and market insights.
• Develop and manage the product development budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and achieving optimal ROI.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product development and launch.
• Define KPIs for product success, track performance, and implement strategies to optimize product performance and user engagement.
• Research and understand emerging technologies and market trends in the EdTech space, identifying opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in product development, preferably within the EdTech industry.
• Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering innovative products in a fast-paced environment.
• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, with experience in implementing and managing agile teams.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, inspire, and mentor a diverse team.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Passion for education and a deep understanding of user needs in the EdTech space.

Bonus Points:

• Experience working with local/remote teams.
• Experience in building and scaling successful EdTech products.
• Experience with data analytics and user behavior tracking.
• Strong understanding of educational pedagogy and learning methodologies.
